Hi! My name is Amy (probably couldn't figure that out, could you?) and I raise show quality Dwarf Hotots and Jersey Woolies. I have a very small rabbitry but this just makes me focus on quality and also personality. All my rabbits are my pets and are well loved and cared for. I do sell them for pets, as well as for 4-H and also of course for ARBA shows. I have had rabbits since I was five years old, and I've been breeding and showing them since 1999.
My rabbitry is registered (#T326) with the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA). Thanks for taking the time to view my site, there is a lot of information here just use the above links to browse around. I welcome any comments or suggestions! Email Me
I used to raise and show Holland Lops so you may see my ARR's prefix on many pedigrees! I obtained my first stock in 2000 and had them for 10 years, always working on unique colours. In particular, tricolours and agoutis in chocolate and lilac varieties. I study coat colour extensively and many call me the "genetics wizard". Feel free to send me emails and questions, I love figuring out puzzles and helping others understand the wonders of genetics.
This year, 2010, after working for the last two years to fix the colour standard and move forward with the showing of colour Hollands and having it thrown out the window, I decided to change breeds. To find out more about my Hollands and where they are living now, check out my Holland Lop page. I love the Hollands, but it will be 2015 before the standard gets fixed and probably 2020 before things actually progress as it has become clear that the HLRSC is not interested in moving forward with colours. There is still too much of the old mentality "If it's not a tort, it's not a Holland". I know within a year or two I will be moving and need to sell out of having a whole herd anyway, so it was time to sell out to people who could continue the work in the long haul. I am proud of what I was able to do, going from poorly typed Hollands to ones who won legs and even finished out Grand Championships. Colours can and do win, and I wish lots of luck to everyone still working on them.**
**If you are interested in my Holland Lops stock, the following breeders are really working with my lines:
